An amazing look at the technology it will take for interstellar space flight between earth and one of the nearest star systems, Proxima Centauri, 4.6 light years away where there may be planets. It’s totally doable, but we’ll need to accelerate to around 67 million miles per hour (10% the speed of light) and then decelerate before we get there. That could get us there in about 6 years.
There are at least 22 stars within 12 light years of earth.
